What a tough fight it was this past few months, don't you agree? I mean, 8 projects, all squeezed together like a can of sardine. It's easier said than done, the lecturers. I really appreciate those who feel us, not those who says 'I understand.. But everyone is going through the same thing.' - this people make me want to stab them in their heart. lol. Be a man and take a stand, don't sit on the wall like every Singaporeans do. lol. But alas, it's ovverr. -dances- You didn't see that.
This semester is one big big mess that not even the 50% exams can help to clear. lol. Get this - none of my project marks got an 'A', well, not really - just one. 80 marks that is. A borderline 'A', and that, is really helpful to my grades. lol. Over the study week and exams weeks, we took 2 tests and 2 exams.
UCCD and SQM are the 2 tests taken. And SQM was, I don't know, too easy to memorize to be true. lol. It's like pewpewpew. All in xD And the paper was easier than expected, and basically most of the things I studied came out, so it was pretty satisfying in a sense? UCCD was the inverse proportion. lol. SQM was 'shhiitt, how am I going to fair'. And UCCD was 'I'm sure I can do it'. But it turned out, just like any other times, the other way! Ridiculous. lol. UCCD was harrrddd and abstract. I was scratching my head and rubbing my chin hard to try to find the answers? But no inspirations came xD On top of that, I didn't even have time to finish the paper - probably, possibly, at least 10 over marks undone. Yay the smart Edsmond. Whoohoo xD I'd be happy if I can get a B+ for SQM and scrap a B for UCCD - but it's doubtful by the look of it.
GBE and GOM are the 2 heavyweights - 50% exams (hate it /shifty). Mr G. Foo was great as a GBE lecturer. Not only because of *coughcough*, but also he is really lenient and he cared for our studies, which is always good. Although the paper wasn't too easy, it wasn't too much a challenge either, so, no comments. lol. But GOM, helllll man. Seriously. Which freakkkinn' lecturer would test you on the '10 profiles of Adolescent Gambler' thingy? I meannn, is it pure laziness or what? Lecturers usually test on like 4-5 profiles, and then go on to ask other related stuff. But no, the paper is as always, real short questions with questions that want answers like that one. It just doesn't make sense :/ Oh wells. Too bad, 2 more modules to go next semester with this kinda crap paper. PS. This kinda paper isn't really useful anyways. Seriously.
So I have this self-made GPA Count System. I've calculated and this is my estimated grades and GPA for this freaking bloody semester. lol. GOM: C HSS: B+ TTP: B+ SQM: B+ GBE: B UCCD: B OE (Online Entrepreneurship): B LR (Love Relations): A GPA: 3.135 WHOOHOO. No 'A's. Oh wait. There is! A Credit Unit '2' module! [/sarcasm]
Hokays. That's officially the end of school discussion until the release of the results. And if you're reading this, please do remember -not- to ask for my GPA. Mucho appreciated. lol.
Sooo, after the last paper - went to watch Slumdog Millionaire. It was a highly, highly rated show by people everywhere. And indeed, it didn't disappoint. The stories were cleverly linked together, and I love the unusual plot, different from what we get from Hollywood every week. lol. A heavy belt Slumdog Millionaire has this Oscars, taking home 8 titles, of which some include Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematography and Best Film Editing. Out of 10 nominations, taking home 8 of them is like O.o As compared to the 13 nominations The Curious Case of Benjamin Button got, but only actually won 2 - Best Makeup (duh xD) and Best Visual Effects, almost like a consolation prize for not winning more. And who else, but the late Heath Ledger, won the Best Supporting Actor, in the Dark Knight, and Sean Penn, who won the Best Actor award, in Milk - which, I am watching now. So far, the storyline has been pretty interesting. The movie also won the Most Original Screenplay, so, I guess it isn't a movie to disappoint. I'll also be catching The Reader in a bit, where the lead actress, Kate Winslet, won the Best Actress in the Oscars. The movies of the Best Actor and the Best Actress (Milk and The Reader respectively) are rated R21. So, be sure that you're 21 before watching alrighty, kido /shifty. Ssh.
Moving away from the Oscars, some of the other 'must watch's are 2 Jennifer Aniston's movies - He's Just Not That Into You (I heard it's really a great movie, something worth thinking about), and Marley and Me. This are the 2 movies that are waitlisted on my list now. lol xD
Phew. Quite some bit up there. I'm not feeling all too comfortable today. Bad nose, it's leaking again, and the sneezing has caused some minor headaches. I hate it, it happens all the time. Tomorrow's class chalet, hopefully I'll feel better to enjoy it. lol.
Hokays. You have been reading the right blog. You didn't stumble across the wrong blog, neither did you type in the wrong URL. lol. It was time to change to a new blogskin, and, I don't know what else to put other than Harry Potter themed. lol. Twilight is freaking boring me. Seriously, I agree with Stephen King on his slamming on Stephanie Meyer's writing skills? Like - read it, it doesn't even sound like a professional. All thanks to her storyline for the success. It got really dull and draggy in the first book? But I managed to toll myself through the chapters. New Moon's starting isn't bad, but I've heard bits and pieces of the story, and it really makes no sense. So, psh, I'm probably gonna re-read Harry Potter after reading 30 over pages of OrderofthePhoenix at Timo's house the other day. It's coming back, it's coming back! I can feel the magiccc! Sorcerer's Stone, here I come xD
Kays, back to watching Milk. Ta.
